The system
Inline filter solution ready for plug and play
Integrated solution
The ESP-25 is an inline filter integrated directly into the chimney and is easily installed at least 50 cm above the boiler. It must only be used for non-condensing boilers up to 25 kW.
Optional automatic ignition
The filter can be installed with a direct connection to the boiler, so when the boiler is turned on/off, the filter also turns on/off automatically, avoiding unnecessary power consumption.
Optional manual ignition
If a direct connection to the boiler is not possible, the filter can be connected to a manual switch. The filter is manually turned on using the on/off button located at the bottom of the filter.
Product description
Exodraft ESP-25 is an electrostatic particle filter designed for pellet boilers with a capacity up to 25 kW. The filter is developed as an inline filter for existing indoor chimney structures and is installed directly above the boiler.
The ESP-25 is designed to reduce the majority of harmful ultrafine particles emitted by the boiler’s flue gas. The filter reduces the number of fine and ultrafine particles by up to 99.5% and reduces the total particle mass by up to 90%.
The filter is designed for non-condensing boilers with a maximum heat output of up to 25 kW and can only be installed on chimney structures with negative pressure.
The ESP-25 filter is easily cleaned with the included cleaning brush, and as a rule of thumb, after 1000 kg of burned wood pellets. For safety reasons, the filter/boiler must be turned off during filter cleaning.
As an integrated filter solution in the chimney, the solution can be installed with automatic or manual ignition:
Automatic: The filter can be installed with a direct connection to the boiler, so when the boiler is turned on/off, the filter also turns on/off automatically, avoiding unnecessary power consumption.
Manual: If a direct connection to the boiler is not possible, the filter can be connected to a manual switch. The filter is manually turned on using the on/off button located at the bottom of the filter.
The ESP-25 filter operates with continuous flue gas temperatures of 200°C and can handle short-term maximum temperatures of 250°C.
The ESP-25 is designed for a standard chimney pipe of Ø150 mm and is easily installed above the boiler, at least 50 cm from the boiler.
For boilers using 25 kW, the filter is expected to require more frequent cleaning than boilers using 10-16 kW.
If the pellet boiler is not set for proper combustion, it can cause issues with soot, chimney fires, etc., which can damage the filter. Please follow the instructions from the boiler manufacturer.
