Product description
Our Bypass Damper is used in heat recovery solutions to control the supply of hot flue gases to the Basic Plate heat recovery units. The Bypass Damper is primarily used for larger boiler systems and industrial and commercial process plants, with an integrated electric motor that opens and closes the damper.
All parts that come into contact with flue gases are made of stainless steel EN 1.4404, and all external parts are made of stainless steel EN 1.4301.
The power supply and start-stop signal are received from an external Exodraft control unit and are not part of the Bypass Damper.
The solution includes a safety feature that forces it to close automatically in case of power failure.
The Bypass Damper can withstand temperatures up to 600 °C and must not be used as a drain point in the heat recovery system.
As a general rule, the Bypass Damper should be installed indoors. If outdoor installation is desired, additional shielding is required.
The flue gases must be of a quality (particle-free) that does not over time cause the damper to become clogged with particle residues, which can affect its functionality.
